Desertmartin primary school is a long established school.

The current building dates from 1888, when it was built by Archdeacon Hamilton who was Rector of Desertmartin Parish at the time.

It is still sometimes referred to as "Dromore School" as the school and Church of Ireland are located in the townland of Dromore.

In 1999 the school was extended to provide more appropriately for the needs of the 21st century education.

We know many people have (mostly!) happy memories of the school which they often enjoy sharing.

If you'd like to do this, email us at the address on the website and we'll post them in this section.

In time, we plan to upload old school photographs too, so keep an eye out for those.
